Earlier this week we were asked to participate in Stonyfield Farm's
annual employee meeting, held with much fanfare (and great food!) in
a giant tent at their Londonderry facility. Hearing their visionary
CEO speak and talking with dozens of compassionate employees was
really invigorating. We left feeling more enthusiastic than ever
about the Met's renewed opportunities to improve our own small corner
of the world.
Save the Met pledge payments continue to arrive in person, by phone,
by mail, and by fax. Please do make your payment if you haven't yet;
you can get a payment form on the website:
We have three exciting Save the Met fundraisers happening tomorrow.
In addition to their booth and demonstrations at DerryFest, Met
supporters Tim Barchard's Professional Martial Arts Academy will be
holding a StM Kick-a-Thon at their studio just down the street. Stop
by to add to the generous pledges, and see just how many kicks each
student can make in a minute!
Just over the border in Londonderry, Duncan's European Automotive is
holding the First Annual Computer Smash to support the Met. For a
small fee, you can finally get back at computers and keyboards (and
mice for kids) by taking a sledgehammer to them! A great lunch will
also be available. This runs 11 - 3 (or until everything is
Smashed!). Watch for the private old fire engine shuttling between
DerryFest and Duncan's (at 33 Londonderry Rd.).

And at DerryFest itself we have kid games at Booth 8, and are holding
a Duck Drop to support the Met. Many of our 250 Ducks have already
been purchased, so be sure to stop by various booths, at the
ComputerSmash, and at the Met to buy yours early. The Drop takes
place at 4:30, on the playing field behind Hood School.

resumption of Met programs and workshops, all coming soon.
