People ask if it is useful having these occur after the August 31
deadline. The answer is a big "Yes!" for two reasons: the projected
proceeds will be part of our Save the Met presentation to the
landlord, and -- assuming the Met is declared to be Saved -- extra
funds past that point will help keep the the museum healthy and out
of future financial difficulties. Besides, the Computer Smash, Kick-a-
Thon, Derryfest Duck Drop, and other events sure sound like a lot of
fun!
