Camping Accommodation fully booked over the Christmas Period. Some Self Catering Accommodation available in St. Lucia Town.

St. Lucia Estuary has many world class Bed and Breakfast Establishments. Since St. Lucia has beach front Development all our accommodation are with in the Town's residential area.
Although this area is excluded from the Game Park and Game Reserve many animals veer onto the lawns with sunset. They vary from small Red Duiker to Bush Back and even hippo (See Hippo Hunting St. Lucia Style).
From time to time Leopards pass through the residential area. During the summer months the nocturnal Bush baby  feast on the local Fruits in the Gardens and open areas.

Cheating Death: Saturday 17/11/2007 11h00
After Speeding up and down the main street of  St. Lucia, this vehicle was destroyed in a violent
collusion with unexpected tourist traveling towards St. Lucia Estuary on the R618.
Reckless driving is not tolerated and it is sad that this driver escaped the law as they where patrolling this route on Friday Night stopping drivers randomly checking on various aspects of roadworthiness.

A New Era Has dawned:
iSimangaliso Wetland Park
is situated on the east coast of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa about 275 kilometres north of Durban (28°0'S 32°30'ECoordinates: 28°0'S 32°30'E). It is South Africa's third-largest protected area, spanning 280 km of coastline, from the Mozambican border in the north to Mapelane south of the St Lucia estuary, and made up of around 3,280 km² of pristine natural ecosystems, managed by Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife. The park includes the St Lucia Game Reserve, False Bay Park, St Lucia Marine Reserve, Sodwana Bay National Park, Maputaland Marine Reserve, Cape Vidal, Ozabeni, Mfabeni, Tewate Wilderness Area and Mkuze Game Reserve. The park was previously known as the Greater St. Lucia Wetland Park, but was renamed effective from 1 November 2007. The word 'isimangaliso' is Zulu for 'a marvel'. (Full Article)
