Bill-

Hope you are doing well and that the home construction is coming along.

For my next BUMS tasting I am thinking of doing a theme of Mild Isles to contrast with the Laphroaigs and Highland Parks and Taliskers.

Here are some of my rough choices.  Any comments or choices you think would fit the profile?

The Arran Malt aged ten years
The Arran Malt finished in Port Cask  Cask strength  58.4 ABV
Isle of Jura 21 years Old Cask Strength 58.1 ABV  not sure this is cask strength
Isle of Jura 16
Isle of Jura 10
Bunnahabhain Aged 12 years
Bruichladdich XVII year old
Bruichladdich 10 yr old
Bruichladdich 20 yr old flirtation
Bruichladdich Infinity  (second edition ) Cask Strength 52.5ABV

thanks, Mark

Dear Mark,

I'm not terribly familiar with Arran, but have been very impressed
with what I've tasted.
In term, of lightly peated my suggestions are as follows:
Bunnahabhain 12 (The 25 is great, but expensive.)
Jura 16 (the 21 is good, but twice as expensive & only 40%.)
Bruichladdich Infinity (1st ed.) is really good, but I have not tried
the new ed.
Do not forget about the peated Benriachs.
The Ledaig in a port pipe is good, but young. The Ledaig 1972 is
simply incredible.
Talisker 18 has mild peat & is a huge bargain.
The new Ardmore is lovely too.

I hope this helps.

Cheers,

Bill
