Have a Ruby 1.8.6 application running with mongrel, .. it starts just fine after the machine boots, but it  *fails* to start at boot time. I had to reboot the machine this AM, and noticed that the mongrel start script complained about 'something not found', ..

Are there any ruby dependencies in this version that might not be available earlier in the boot process? Perhaps bash? If so, is there a way to change it to, say, sh?

    TIA!

Lee,

Bash shouldn't need to start. Can you start the server further into the boot sequence? Are you using rvm or something of that nature?

Are you using relative paths or absolute for mongrel at startup?
