Jeff,
I am too busy to take on an entire presentation, but I like your idea about sharing the research among all of us.

Like a potluck for research instead of food.

DHH posted an article (link) with a high level comprehensive list of new topics.  I suggest we each pick one (large or small) to cover.

Here is my synopsis of topics:
ActionPack
Resources
Multiview
Record identification
HTTP Loving
Security
Exception Handling
Record identification
New Request Profiler
AtomFeedHelper
Active Record
Performance (Query caching & fixtures)
Sexy Migrations
Foxy Fixtures
XML support
Shedding weight (acts_as, DB adapters pushed to gems)
with_scope
ActionWebService out, ActiveResource in
Rails
Breakpoint debugger
environment.rb as a collection of files
plugins - sugar for orderly loading
How to upgrade
Strategies to handle issues ranging from new plugins to deprecated calls

  - Mike

P.S. - I posted this list to the google group.  When you decide on a topic, just add your name to it on the page.  You better get there quick, because the topics are flying off of the shelves like gang-busters! : )

Guys,

Would any of you be willing to present on Rails 2.0 changes (important
features or differences) and what it means to our projects.

We can split this amongst several presenters if necessary. I have a
couple sites that list the major changes so we could split the list up
if no one wants to do the whole thing.

I think this would be the hottest topic we should cover right now
since it will be of interest to so many and the release was final last
month.

This doesn't have to be anything real formal, interactive discussions
work well with our group too.

Let me know if any of you would be willing to take on this or part of
it.

Thanks,

Jeff
