Show and tell night: Webby and deploying gitwiki using nginx, rack, thin, and sinatra
It's been a pretty busy month and since we didn't get any takers on presenting tonight, we'll have a show and tell night. I'll show some things I have been working with recently:
1) Webby - one of the ruby static web generators which is designed similar to rails using layouts and partials
2) Deploying gitwiki - How to deploy gitwiki using nginx, rack, thin, and sinatra. A walk through of what you need to do to take a sinatra based app and deploy it in production (auto starting, load balanced cluster). I'll just show you how to set this up on ubuntu. I won't get into using capastrano for redeployment, just the basics for setting things up.
We'll probably head over to Uno's around 7pm.
