Qualifications

• Preferred: Relevant Bachelor’s degree and/or 5 years of industry experience (or demonstration of strong leadership skills & technical aptitude on previous projects)
• Possesses technical expertise and familiarity with various methodologies such as JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, jQuery and Mobile development
• In-depth understanding of appendTo’s industry-focused technology
• Experience managing customer objectives against budget and time constraints
• Personal commitment to detail-oriented management and efficiency
• Self-directed work style

Skills

• Required skills: HTML, CSS, JavaScript and jQuery
• Desired skills: Node.js, Backbone.js, HTML5, CSS3, plus experience in one or more other languages
• Must be able to effectively communicate regarding relevant technology
• Must be self-driven to stay updated on the changing industry

Additional Desired Skills

• Rich Text Editor experience, specifically CK Editor

Responsibilities

• Work with Project Managers and/or the Technical Lead to manage client expectations and scheduling
• Responsible for the completion, accuracy and efficiency of assigned project deliverables
• Perform Technical Lead role for assigned projects
  • Manage/lead JavaScript Engineers and Visual Design Engineers in completing project deliverables
  • Ultimately responsible for completion and quality of project deliverables
  • Coordinate timely execution of all deliverables of assigned projects
  • Provide quality assurance of all deliverables
  • Set the technical direction for the project
  • Provide mentorship to junior level designer/developers on the team
• Create estimates for projects when requested in line with company estimation process
  • Communicate with clients to fill in knowledge gaps
  • Build and deliver estimates through the estimate spreadsheets
  • Document estimates as required

• Write and maintain code according to appendTo’s standards of quality
