For those of us who aren't being forced to
waste our money on an over-priced crappy dinner, flowers, or whatever, what is there to do?
Drink alone at home and try to find solace in a Victoria's secret catalog with
a bottle of hand lotion? Fuck no! We didn't give up when the Germans bombed
Pearl Harbor! We have our own holiday... Singles Awareness Day! Cupid can eat shit.
That fat, li'l winged bastard needs to fly into a bug zapper and leave us all
alone.
What better place to be than in South City? Anyone
taking their significant other to Bommars, Southtown Pub, Black Derby, or
Applebee's on V-Day is sure to end in a drunken breakup by the time we finish
circle. There'll be plenty of newly single souls for hashers to heroically
swoop in and offer a can of Stag and a shoulder to cry on. (Remember, a
shoulder to cry on, becomes a hasher to ride on.)
If you are one of those hashers in a relationship
and you forgot that it's V-day, you can still make the hash! Just stop by CVS
or Walgreens. There's one in the same parking lot as circle. You'll be glad you
did when you arrive home get home late with a crappy gift to distract from the
fact that you smell of sweat, Stag, and shame.
