Two alleged criminals apparently thought taking a teenage girl
hostage was their ticket to success. Little did they know her
parents had guns and werent afraid to use them.
According to the St. Louis PostDispatch, police say a 17-year-
old girl, who is not named in the report, went outside to
retrieve something from her car at around 11 p.m. Monday night.
Two masked gunmen, 33-year-old Cortez McClinton and 31-year-old
Terrell Johnson, then allegedly forced her into her home, using
her as a shield.
But her 34-year-old father, who is also not named in the report,
spotted the crime in progress. As they approached the door, he
reportedly fired several shots. He struck both men as they
entered the home.
Her 34-year-old mother also fired a shot but didnt strike
anyone.
As noted in the report, McClinton fled and got his brother to
transport him to a hospital. He was treated for gunshot wounds
to his chest and both thighs. The alleged intruder is facing
charges of armed criminal action, burglary, kidnapping and
second-degree murder.
His alleged partner, Johnson, collapsed on the floor inside the
home. He was pronounced dead on the scene.
Of course, its sad that someone died during this ordeal. Most
responsible gun owners never want to be put in this situation.
But this incident demonstrates once again that criminals are
typically no match for armed citizens. This man even fought off
at least four intruders with just one gun if you need another
example.
What do you think? Did this teens parents do the right thing by
firing at the intruders? What would you have done in this
situation?

No, it's not sad that someone died...the deceased was an armed
criminal. He chose his actions and paid the price. Too bad the
other a-hole wasn't killed also.

My thoughts exactly, Tom. No court costs, no taxpayer paid
incarceration. What's not to like.
