NT/WIN2K System Administrator, NT Network Administrator, Windows 2000
Architect, NT Network Conversion Specialist, Network Design Engineer,
Network Architect, Project Manager or Communications Analyst position that
will utilize present skills and allow for future growth in Network Areas
while completing MCSE/CCNA certifications.

SUMMARY

Expert experience levels with all phases of NT/Windows 2000 System
Administration, NT Network Administration, Network Conversions, Remote
Access and System Security. Excellent working knowledge of NT 3.5x/4.0 and
Window 2000 Active Directory. Experienced in Information Superhighway
integration via routers and TCP/IP. Hands on experience with Cisco routers.

RECENT EXPERIENCE

15Apr01 thru Present Houston, Texas

Assisted in the conversion of an NT 4.0 Network to a total native Windows
2000 enterprise for a Pre-IPO. This network consists of 75 Windows 2000
Advanced Servers, 3 Exchange 2000 Enterprise Mail Servers, 2 SQL 2000
database servers as well as 500+ Windows Professional Workstations.
Maintained two existing NT 4.0 Software Development and Customer Support
groups on Compaq hardware. Team lead converting Exchange 5.5 to Exchange
2000 Enterprise creating new accounts, moving existing mailboxes and
affiliated data. Assisted in server builds and troubleshooting during
rollout. Helped plan Enterprise Active Directory implementation. Working
additional duties normally required of Senior Windows 2000/Exchange 2000
Enterprise Manager in an operational business.


24Jul00 thru 31Mar01 Amber Networks, Santa Clara, CA (Intralinux)

Assisted in the initial design of a Widows 2000 network for a Pre-IPO.
Worked on the implementation of Microsoft Exchange 5.5. Acted as Exchange
Administrator creating accounts and distribution lists. Responsible for
management of a two location LAN/WAN. Prepared infrastructure for
consolidation to a centralized location. Responsible for day to day
operation of help desk personnel supporting 500+ users in a Compaq/Dell
Server environment. Maintained current NT 4.0/Unix network. Worked with
Cisco 2000, 3000, 6000 series switches and routers. Assisted with VPN and
remote users. Specified hardware and software combinations to allow maximum

Assisted in the preliminary design of an Windows 2000 network while
supporting a legacy combination network of UNIX and NT. Evaluated and
recommended appropriate software products for the proposed standard
environment and to assure compliance with proposed network architecture.
Responsible for troubleshooting current network while providing end user
support. Additionally responsible for stabilization of current network to
insure proper operation of existing topology and to ease conversion to NT
4.0. Configured and personalized software to allow integration into network.
Installed appropriate hardware and software in an effort to integrate legacy
equipment into the new network. Provided supplemental Network Design support
to compliment existing work in progress. First level support for Cisco
3600/6000 Series routers and switches. VPN and other duties as assigned.

28 Nov 99 thru 17 Feb 2000 Buy.com, Irvine, Ca (IMS Consulting)

Worked as NT Architect clustering IBM Netfinity 8 processor computers using
Windows 2000 DataCenter Server and MSQL 7.0 Server as well as EMC 2 Terabyte
drive arrays. This is the first implementation of this configuration in the
US outside of the Microsoft Campus. On currently configuring multiple 2000
clusters for testing of Microsoft's new SQL package (Shiloh-also known as
SQL 7.5 BETA) in a test environment using full production data in the same
hardware configuration. When completed, this will allow the customer to move
to at total Windows 2000 environment prior to the release of this software
to the general public. Assisted in the testing of new drivers for the EMC
arrays to insure Microsoft compliance. Worked on a potential design of
Windows 2000 internal network using Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and other
services. Provided complete documentation at end of project.

26 August 99 thru 26 Nov 99 W.W. Grainger, Niles IL (Midcom)

Working as a SAP Functional Support Consultant providing second level
support to Grainger field offices worldwide on Sap's MM/SD modules and
Optums MOVE program in an AIX/Oracle environment. Responsible for support
of ancillary programs such as Tuxedo, Manifest, and Remedy. Provided Basis
support to branch offices for printing, account maintenance, and problem
resolution on multiple operating systems within Grainger. Responsible for
initial support for Material Management, Warehouse Management, and
Sales/Distribution by instruction and direct hands-on correction of problems
reported by branch offices and escalation to higher support levels/other
groups when required. Provided Network Management on an "as-needed" basis
while coordinating with datalink providers and vendors as required.
Consulted with other SAP support personnel to provide vital "root cause''
analysis of SAP outage's. Acted as the sole NT System Administrator during
the migration of Manifest to the NT 4.0 operating system. Responsible for
first level AIX system administration on versions 3.25 and 4.X. Other
SAP/NT duties as assigned and required by situation.

28 May 99 thru 13 August 99 CompUSA, Dallas TX (SDIF/IBM)

Worked as a NT System Admin/Network Admin doing operations that supported
approximately 10,000 users/258 remote locations. Responsible for Client
side support of ongoing SAP implementation and other SAP support duties as
assigned. When complete this will be the largest SAP Project currently
running under NT. Other responsibilities included determining required
daily activities as well as organizing implementations of auditing, registry
modifications, global groups, directory structure, network shares and
permissions on local and remote servers using SMS 1.2 and other tools.
Assisted in the implementation of Exchange 5.x in a lab environment.
Co-ordinated with datalink providers and vendors as needed. Other SAP/NT
duties as assigned and required by situation.


3 August 98 thru 3May 99 Compaq Computers, Houston TX (Netpartners/Judge
Tech)

Worked as an NT System Administrator/NT Network Administrator in a
Multi-Master Domain. Worked in Compaq's NCC providing second and third
level NT support for 1400+ servers worldwide in a 24X7 environment.
Monitored day-to-day operations of WAN using OpenView 6000. Assisted in the
implementation of standardized security on 900+ local servers. Contract lead
for SAP Security implementation on NC Series SAP Servers. Responsibilities
included determining required security as well as organizing implementation
of auditing, registry modifications, groups, directory structure, network
shares and permissions on 60 SAP Servers. Responsible for providing second
level support for SAP servers coordinating maintenance activities with
Oracle DBAs as needed and normal day to day activities. Assistant Project
Manager for Y2K audits/Windows 2000-deployment prep. Planned and implemented
update strategy for 900 servers to insure proper operation in Year 2000.
Light Unix System Administration and supplemental administration of Exchange
5.x mail servers. Other SAP/NT duties as assigned and required by situation.

10 March 98 thru 24 Jul 98 -Microsoft Redmond, WA (NESC/EMC)

Worked assisting in benchmark testing of SAP SD module under NT/MSSQL Server
6.5 using the EMC Symmetric Terabyte Disk Array. This project uses very
large scale Raid-5 Arrays, troubleshooting hardware and software,
performance testing and SAP Administration/Operations. The project has
required multiple installations of SAP R3 3.1H implemented under the above
conditions, transports, SAP Administration in a hostile benchmarking
environment. Project was of 4-months duration at SAP Competency Lab,
Redmond WA. Successful completion allowed client to be fully MS NT
compliant and certified under Microsoft's hardware certification program.
This project was extremely complementary to earlier SAP experience.
Beta-tested MS NT 5.0 (Windows 2000) and MSSQL 7.0 in preparation for
competency tests with SAP R/3 4.0x. Other SAP/NT duties as assigned and
required by situation.


15 Oct 1997 - 27 Feb 98 Bosch Braking Systems, South Bend IN (NBS)

Working as a SAP/NT Operator/Administrator in an NT/Oracle SAP environment.
Assisted in the implementation of SAP R/3 from initial planning to "GO-LIVE"
phase. Installed SAP into a distributed computing environment using NT 3.51
platform. Then participated in the conversion from the NT 3.51 platform to
NT 4.0. Concurrently assisted in SAP upgrade to 3.1h. Worked as member of
Basis Team regarding networks and MS NT. Did transports; various
administrative transactions as well as doing required tuning and
troubleshooting of SAP/NT system from reports and error messages.
Implemented SAP printing as well as day-to-day operation of the SAP/NT
network. Responsible for installation of ADSM Backup Software and
implementation of current backup scheme. UNIX System Administration as part
of implementation.
Other SAP/NT duties as assigned and required by situation.

17 July 97 - 10 Oct 97 DOD Health Center, Falls Church VA (NBS)

Worked as the Senior NT System Administrator responsible for the
implementation of an NT Network for the Department of Defense. This
assignment required the re-engineering of an existing LAN, implementing
DHCP, DNS, IIS, WINS coupled with the upgrade of all existing servers to NT
4.0.Assisted in the upgrade and troubleshooting of Microsoft Exchange Server
5.0 concurrent with the roll out of a combination of Outlook 97 and the
latest Exchange Clients. Other duties included insuring that existing
security measures provided adequate protection during a change of long-term
contractors on this project. Responsible for reviewing all error logs and
directing that necessary action is taken to reduce overall faults.
Reviewed, evaluated and recommended software for inclusion in a new standard
desktop environment along with multiple Network Monitoring programs that
would allow operation with the smallest number of onsite personnel possible.
Deployed network printers using HP Jet Direct hardware and software. Normal
end user support and emergency support as needed. Assisted in the
implementation of a desktop video teleconferencing environment as well as
the implementation of a standard VTC operation. Ongoing Unix System
Administration

12 March 97-12 July 1997 Onlive Technologies, Cupertino CA (TLC)

Worked as NT System Administrator/Network Administrator responsible for the
installation of NT 4.0 servers to provide platforms for beta/production
software at Onlive! Technologies. Installed NT 4.0 Servers, MSSQL Servers,
Internet Information Servers, Exchange 4.x mail servers and other
proprietary servers for testing prior to presentation to the general public
as final products. Responsible for the implementation of an NT Security
Procedure that would allow remote system administration while still
providing maximum security for company servers outside of our firewalls.
Acted as Consultant for all matters pertaining to implementation of
proprietary software on NT platforms in both a test and production
environment. Assisted in the relocation of the company to a new location and
worked in the re-implementation of the Shiva Rover, Remote Access Servers,
SQL Servers and other systems. Light work as Sun Solaris System
Administrator as part of my NT duties. Worked with routers, 3Com Ethernet
Switches, and other networking equipment as assigned. Developed
comprehensive ACL tables for Cisco 2000/4000 routers as part of an improved
security protection scheme. Light Solaris Administration on a day-to-day
basis as Assistant UNIX Administrator.

18Nov96-6Feb97s Atalla Software San Jose (The Adderly Group)

Assisted in the design of an NT 4.0 network while supporting a legacy
combination network of UNIX, NT, and NetWare. Evaluated and recommended
appropriate software products for the proposed standard environment and to
assure compliance with proposed network architecture. Responsible for
troubleshooting current network while providing end user support.
Additionally responsible for stabilization of current network to insure
proper operation of existing topology and to ease conversion to NT 4.0.
Installed Win95 and NT Workstation 4.0. Configured and personalized software
to allow integration into network. Installing appropriate hardware and
software in an effort to integrate legacy equipment into the new network.
Provided supplemental Network Design support to compliment existing work in
progress. Solaris System Administration as part of the NT Implementation.
Participated in the conversion from Microsoft Mail to Exchange Servers as
other duties permitted.

September96-18Nov96 Dow Chemical Freeport. (Kelly Tech.)

Functioned as Contract WAN/LAN Manager for a 37,000-node NT network.
Responsible for the day-to-day operations of Dow Chemical's worldwide
network. Responsible for evaluation of appropriate network tools as part of
an ongoing effort to improve the work environment. Monitored day-to-day
activity on network and responded to outages with appropriate corrective
measures. Assisted end users with problems relating to network, network
printing, desktop and standard environment issues. Coordinated repairs with
appropriate agencies while maintaining backup systems to allow for
continuing data flow during main route outages. Responsible for monitoring
proper operation of DEC/Cisco routers installing software upgrades and
patches as appropriate. Assisted current NT System Administrators with user
accounts, DHCP and other issues relating directly to Back Office and NT
Servers 3.5. Assisted in migration to NT Server 4.0 and upgrade of
workstations to NT 4.0.

March96-September96 I-NET Inc.

Functioned as Project Manager for the British Petroleum NT Conversion
Project. Responsible for the architecture and conversion of an obsolete
nationwide Pathworks network into a fully functional NT network while
integrating this new LAN into the existing BP World WAN. This project
involved the concurrent rollout of a new operating system, development of a
standard working environment, delivery of new workstations and the
conversion of existing systems to the new BP World standard. Managed up to
19 Engineers and Technicians during all three phases of this project.
Responsible for customer satisfaction, vendor coordination, budget and time
management. Planned and coordinated 48 hour cutover that resulted in no
downtime for this BP Division. Responsible for problem resolution of NT
Servers, File and Print Servers while assisting in the implementation of
Microsoft II Servers. Developed a cohesive approach that would allow
Internet Access while maintaining Network Security.

November95-1March96 Houston Independent School District (AIC)

Functioned as System Analyst/Sr. LAN Analyst for the largest NT network in
the State of Texas. Network consists of over 250 servers, primary and
secondary domain controllers integrating NT, Novell, Windows for Workgroups
and other operating systems into a two tier dynamic assignment TCP/IP
network that will serve over 7000 users on total implementation. Using
Cisco routers this network combined both T-1 and ISDN into a WAN allowing
all HISD personnel using Microsoft Mail to send and receive electronic mail
from and allowing access to the Internet. This implementation blended
GroupWise, Quickmail and MS Mail into an enterprise E-mail system allowing
the exchange of proprietary E-mail
formats. Used Netview 6000 and SNMP to manage this network along with
System Management Software for monitoring and remote distribution of the
Microsoft Office Suite of desktop programs along with any future software
packages desired. This network interfaced HISD teachers, using SNA, with an
AS 400 and IBM 4831 for the electronic distribution of grades and student
information as required by the TEAC. The ability to centrally backup all
domain controllers and software distribution servers insured restorability
of the RAID 5 Compaq 4500 series servers used to operate the LAN/WAN.
