1/84-11/85

Battery Motor Officer/Air Defense Platoon Leader - Supervised the
maintenance program for over 100 vehicles, weapons systems and support
equipment. Responsible for the health, welfare and training of up to
66 personnel. As Vulcan platoon leader commanded a four cannon, 20 man
tactical platoon.
* Platoon rated best in the battery.
* Produced the number one and number three squads of 24 in gunnery.
* Tactical evaluators rated platoon number one of 24 in the brigade.
* Brought unit maintenance from worst to the best in the battalion.
* Turned ineffective maintenance program into one which achieved a 93%
or better maintenance rate.
