ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. — Walgreens plans to close a west St. Louis
County store along a busy Manchester Road corridor.
The pharmacy chain said it would close its location at 14529
Manchester Road, in Manchester, on Feb. 28.
A spokesperson for Deerfield, Illinois-based Walgreens said that
"when faced with the difficult decision to close a location, several
factors are taken into account, including our existing footprint of
stores, dynamics of the local market, and changes in the buying
habits of our patients and customers, among other reasons."
The spokesperson said the chain's goal is to be "the independent
partner of choice, not just in pharmacy but also in health care
services where we can improve health care, lower costs, and help
patients," and that it is "creating the right network of stores in
the right locations."
