Blind tasting; right now we only have one scheduled for October 8th,
invite going out tomorrow. Because we buy the wine for the blind
tasting, we are starting with one blind tasting. If we fill up and/or
we hear of interest (via the message board or emails) we'll look into
scheduling a 2nd one. But we need at least 10 people, preferably 12,
and also need a host for October 18th. So, if you can not make the one
on the 8th but really want to attend, let me know!!!
Speak in the next 12 hours or forever hold your peace - pairing
vertical dinner -
Would you rather:
include the oldest wine we can get and risk it being bad
go mid way, include a wine that's got some age on it, but not the
oldest
Only sample wines that are 10 years older tops
Let me know your thoughts - this is a perfect discussion, btw, so I
encourage you to reply to the group!!
As a reminder, members get first invites to pairing dinners, and they
usually fill up. (for example, the Sbragia Zinfandel pairing dinner we
had last month filled up in an HOUR).
Speaking of membership fees, everyone is getting a couple bonus
months, membership is going to Jan-jan instead of July - July. Easier
to keep track of. As a reminder, its $20/year; $10 renew. $10 credit
for hosting; so returning members who host get membership fee waived.
