All, we're heading to Napa & Sonoma in January and looking for some
small scale hidden gems-things that you can't get here or if you can,
its maybe at one place or inconsistently available. We've got some
good ideas between the Small Batch Wine Club meetings and Gold Medal
shipments, but can always use some more. It doesn't matter if you've
been there or just had the wine, all recommendations are welcome. Feel
free to reply here tio all or on my blog:

Also, I'm drafting the 2012 themes...speak now on what you want to see
in 2012!

And lastly, let me know if you can host in January.

We found a couple of gems this year -- one was right off the main
square in Sonoma -- a tasting room for Spann vineyards. Now, you CAN
find some of their wines here, but it was a really good tasting and a
surprising find. We also liked Wellington (I think Bill & Katie
suggested them). But our favorite is Eric Ross. Can't find ER wines
here. Nice tasting room and usually the winemaker himself (Eric) is
pouring. We've been members there for years so if you stop in, be
sure to tell them that we said 'hello'! Be sure to check their hours
-- they are on the small side and sometimes they aren't open. www.ericross.com
(there's also a chocolate tasting going on right across the street
from Eric's)

If you're headed up towards Healdsburg, we can come up with some other
hidden gems...
