to St. Louis Wine Club
This time of year Schnucks puts last year's vintage releases on sale,
so its a great time to stock up on your fave wines - we picked up a
$60 winery direct ($49.99 on random wine store) bottle of the 2003 Dry
Creek Endeavor Cabernet for $35; very good and I'd recommend it. Often
you can get a $40 something 2007 cab for 18.99, for example, so they
can make room for the 2008s. Or, this is a great time to pick up a
splurge bottle for yourself, or for November's wine club, and get the
chance to try a $90 bottle for 60!
Please note (sorry Schnucks, if you're reading this) while their sale
prices are often good and the 10% of mixed 6 pack is awesome, they are
not always as cheap as they seem. So, do a price scan with your
phone's app or do a bit of research before stocking up; they might
have the regular price listed as 79.99 but in truth you can pick it up
anytime at another shop for $55; so a "price breaker deal" of 52.99
isn't quite the "stock up now!" deal it seemed like.
Also, let me know if you're interesting in hosting the blind tasting
in October; we need room for 12 at least.
