Anyvite:
Well, our first month trying out Anyvite as the new "electronic
invite" went well and I really like it. Thanks for your patience and
please bookmark
www.anyvite.com so you can keep track of it. Here's a
blog post about it- since it's a little different than the other ones
we've used; particularly the mobile version. Also, note that it counts
"maybe" as a "yes" in the total count, so please update your RSVP as
soon as you know.

Hosting:
We are in the process of getting ready to sell our house and until we
buy a new one it would be really fantastic if we could get everyone to
volunteer to host. Not that hosting wine club is very messy, but
keeping our house "show-quality ready" will be difficult without
having additional stress! Also, since the summer is pretty busy for
everyone between all the activities and people going out of town I'd
like to see if we can get at least 2 months scheduled in advance, for
planning purposes. Also we can start with one meeting per month and
see if we end up needing a second? Let me know your thoughts on that,
as a reply to all and let me know if you can host and what your
preferred date(s) are.
As a reminder the themes are:
May-Home on the Rhone
Wines from Rhone (France), $10-20/person
June-Celebrate!
Chardonnay and sparkling wines, $10-15/person
July-Hot and Dry
Your favorite hot weather wine (red or white) $10-15/person
August-It's a Zoo on the Red Carpet
Celebrity owned/run wineries or wines with animals on the label,
$10-20/person
And lastly-Artiste wine sale- ends today:
You might've had one or two of the Artiste wines that we've brought
before - they are the ones with the artistic labels and wax tops - I
love the wine (and the bottles!) but I hate that nearly everything
comes JUST BOTTLED. Once we get past that first few months, (and
sometimes decant) they are really GREAT wines. Well, they have a sale
on a 6 pack that includes couple of wines that were bottled in 2010-in
fact, I think the first one we got, which we haven't even tried yet (a
Bordeaux blend) is included. It's a good deal, but ends today, and I
figured since I'm posting these other messages I might as well include
the sale info!
