Remember the Science Olympiad from high school? Arch Reactor is
taking a crack at recreating it for adults! Everyone's invited, it's
a free event except for the food.

Saturday, July 28th will be our first Arch Reactor's Science Olympiad
competition and is open to the general public. At 6:00pm we'll start
off with an expo of UAV races in the parking lot. Actual Olympiad
starts at 7:00. Open to all ages, people are encouraged to form teams
of 2 or 3 people. Individual players will be matched up prior to the
event. There will be three surprise events loosely based around
Structural Engineering, Logic and Culture. All materials will be
provided. If you wish to bring $5 in cash you can partake in a
Hodack's group order for dinner. This event is guaranteed to be fun,
prizes are likely to be a slap on the back and status label of "Cool
People of the Day". Scoring system is still being finalized but is
weighted equally over three events. If there's a tie (which I'm
hoping for) , the tie-breaker is kick ass.

Walk-ups are OK, however, do try to RSVP dereksigler at yahoo dot com
It will help with material procurement.

If you wish to participate in UAV expo. Here's the rules: (none). If
you can make a machine that will navigate a 30' x 20' oval then you're
ahead of most people. We'll make up the rules as we go, just try not
to damage other participants' machines. Track setup will start around
5:00.
