Name Change/Official GDG Designation

Since we mostly draw an Android audience now, I thought we should become an official Google Developer Group (GDG), especially since there isn't one in St. Louis. Becoming an official group gets us more support from Google (they've given out IO tickets to groups in the past).
In order to become a GDG, we have to change the name of the group (this is an official requirement), so I was thinking we'd call ourselves "STL Android".
Does anyone know of a downside to official GDG status? I know it's annoying to change the name. I've already pushed back against it, but they're holding firm on that.

How about calling it "The Official Saint Louis Syncopathic Pandering We Love Google's Android User Group"?

(Actually, "STL Android" sounds good to me. Not that I should have any say in such things. I'll be flying over Saint Louis a couple of times in the next few weeks. And then I'll settle down in Sacramento, California for a while.)

None I know of.

I will miss the status of being "non-denominational". Now where
will we go to argue the merits of Android vs iOS?
