Hello all,

It’s the time of year to publicize the St. John in the Wilderness Christmas services. They are: Blue Christmas, Wednesday, December 14, 6PM; Candlelight Christmas Eve Service with Carols and Eucharist, Saturday, December 24,  7PM; Christmas Day Service, Sunday, December 25, 10AM.

Charley could you please add these services to the Website; Dale and Lucy and also Jane Shannon if you're willing and able – could you please publicize these services in the media (please talk to each other) – i.e., Columbia Paper, Rural Intelligence, Copake, Hillsdale, and Ancram (Art Bassin) websites, SJITW Facebook; Jane Peck could you please add the detail below about the Blue Christmas service to the other Christmas services in the Bulletin; Elen could you please make one Christmas poster which includes all three of these services?

I ask each of you to please respond to this email to let me know you received it and can help.  Also let me know if you have any questions or concerns. And please let me know if there's anything I can do to help you with this. Thank you all! This publicity is important to spread the word about our services to the wider community.

Here are the St. John in the Wilderness services to publicize/announce:

Blue Christmas Service: Wednesday December 14, 6:00 PM. All are invited to this low-key service designed for those who may be grieving a loss or for whatever reason find Christmas a difficult season, and anyone seeking a quiet respite from the hustle and bustle. Come, and bring your friends.

Christmas Eve Candlelight Service: Saturday, December 24, 7:00 PM Carols, 7:30 PM Service

Christmas Day Service: Sunday, December 25, 10:00 AM

Thank you much everyone!

John+

Way ahead of you! We'd already noted Blue Christmas and I was happy to
reuse this image:

http://stjohnw.org/static_docs/Xmas14.jpg

in my somewhat lyric paragraph:

"Christmas Eve at the Church of St John in the Wilderness, nestled among
the trees, softly lit by candlelight, singing our traditional hymns, a
warm and welcoming community sharing Holy Eucharist -- this is an
experience not to be missed!"

John,
Thinking of next weekend's Winter Walk in Copake Falls, I just sent in
the attached press release for the Handbell Concert to the Columbia
Paper. If Charley wants to have part of it on our website, that would
be great. Elen has sent the Handbell poster to Art Bassin, Supervisor
in Ancram as well and we are distributing Elen's poster out and about.
Thanks,
Lucy
