Have you been frustrated with Genetic Modification becoming pervasive in our food supply but don’t know what to do about it? Do you wish you could have clear labeling so that you can feel good about what you’re feeding yourself and your family? Are you curious about how to tell if something is genetically modified or even what “GMO” actually means?
These are exactly the concerns that we’ve been hearing from our Members-Owners and shoppers and we have teamed up with the VT Right to Know Coalition to bring you more information. Whether you’ve heard the term “GMO” come up recently in conversation and you want to learn more or if you’ve been doing your research for a while and are looking to take action, this workshop is for you.
Come learn about the basics of GMOs, the increasing concerns about the health and safety risks and what is needed from citizens (like YOU!) to pass a GMO labeling Bill in Vermont.
WHAT: FREE GMO workshop presented in partnership with Hunger Mountain Coop and the VT Right to Know Coalition
