City Cycling: Commuter Cycling Skills -- City of Winnipeg Leisure Guide
Two City Cycling: Commuter Cycling Skills courses appears on page 81 of the City of Winnipeg's Spring 2011 Leisure Guide in the Active Living, Sport section under Active Adult Workshops:
"Start commuting by bicycle or just feel more comfortable riding your bike. Can-Bike certified instructors from Bike to the Future will clarify the rules and teach you how to ride on the road with confidence. You will learn the skills you need to ride just about anywhere your bike will take you. The course includes both in-class and on-road training. Each participant will receive a free copy of the new 2011 version of the Winnipeg Cycling Map."
Saturday, May 14, noon to 4:00 PM or Sunday, May 29, noon to 4:00 PM
Bike to Work Day 2011 -- Event Coordinator -- contract position
Want to coordinate an exciting city wide event that celebrates cycling culture?
The Bike to Work Day Winnipeg planning team is looking for an Event Coordinator to assist with Bike to Work Day Winnipeg 2011 (Friday, June 24, 2011).
This is approximately a 3-month contract, beginning April 4th until submission of a final report, for $7,500 - $10,000, depending on experience and details of the final contract. The independent contractor will be responsible to provide their own office, office supplies, and equipment.

Spring 2011 bicycle counts -- volunteers needed
For the past four years, volunteers from Bike to the Future have been counting cyclists at key locations in Winnipeg during morning and afternoon rush hours. The counts take place during the first week of April, May, and June. If you are able to help out by volunteering to do a two hour shift, or would like more information, please contact Jeremy Hull.
