The game stars Artemiza, a Little Olympian, and a young and vain goddess-to-be and successor to Zeus' throne. However, the spiteful God Fiora transforms her into a gorgon. Fiora tricks Zeus and the Gods into thinking Artemiza has disappeared, and while they are distracted, frees the imprisoned Titans, captures the other Little Olympians and claims Zeus' throne as her own. It's up to Artemiza, as little medusa, to find her way back to reclaim Mount Olympus and stop Fiora's plot.

- Narcissist: Before Artemiza was changed into a Gorgon, she was very high on herself and vain. Being Zeus' successor to the throne only popped up her ego. Needless to say, spending time as a Gorgon changes her perspective by the end.
- One-Hit-Point Wonder: Enemies take you out in one hit. The PC version however, adds a Life Meter.
- Revenge: Fiora seeks revenge against Zeus because he killed her husband and robbed her of a family. The Titans more of less have the same motivation against the Gods for being imprisoned.
- Taken for Granite: Being a gorgon, this is Little Medusa's signature ability. She can freeze enemies and push them around.
The metabolic processes of jellyfish can produce dissolved organic matter (DOM) which will influence the functioning of the aquatic ecosystems, yet the optical properties of DOM released by jellyfish are unknown. Here we report the absorption and fluorescence properties of DOM released by a medusa species Black fordia virginica during a 24 h incubation experiment. Compared with the control group, an obvious increase in the concentrations of dissolved organic carbon (DOC), absorption coefficient (a280) and total dissolved nitrogen (TDN) was observed in incubation group. This clearly demonstrated the release of DOM, chromophoric DOM (CDOM) and dissolved nutrients by B. virginica which feed on enough of Artemia sp. before the experiment. The increase in spectral slope ratio (SR) and decrease in humification index (HIX) indicated that the released DOM was less-humified and had relatively lower molecular weight. Parallel factor analysis (PARAFAC) decomposed the fluorescence matrices of DOM into three humic-like components (C1-C3) and one protein-like component (C4). The Fmax of two components (C2: < 250, 295/386 nm; C4: 275/334 nm) with the emission wavelength < 400 nm increased significantly during the metabolic process of B. virginica. However, the Fmax of the other two components with the emission wavelength > 400 nm showed little changes. Thus, we suggested a zooplankton index (ZIX) to trace and characterize the DOM excreted by metabolic activity of zooplankton, which is calculated as the ratio of the sum of Fmax of all fluorescence components with the emission wavelength < 400 nm to the sum of Fmax of the other components with the emission wavelength > 400 nm.

She then tries swaying Stein to come to her side, nearly kissing him. However, Sid interrupts and Medusa makes uses of the diversion, assisting Free with creating a Independent Cube with the Magic Calculation spell along with Eruka. Expressing the group having little idle time, Crona appears with the Mizune Family, trusting them to destroy Death City as her group then moves to resurrect the Kishin underground.[95]
After Maka learns that Medusa has survived and that Crona is the spy, she runs away, but in the process, knocks into a little girl, that little girl being Medusa in possession of Rachel Boyd's body. Later on, that same day at night, Medusa witnesses Joe Buttataki's murder at the hands of an unknown assailant. Standing atop a roof, while her snakes circle around her, she smiles insanely.
Medusa is utterly ruthless in her goals: because of the small entrance to the pirate's cave, she kidnapped Penny, a little orphan girl, and showed no issue repeatedly sending her down into the cave to find the Devil's Eye. At her most impatient, she took Penny's teddy bear hostage and refused to pull her back up even as the cave began flooding; she even tried shooting at Penny when the girl tried escaping with the Devil's Eye. Despite this, she is a cunning villain: she shows significant patience, waiting three months for Penny to find the Devil's Eye and only stepping in to speed the process when she learns the girl had sent a message in a bottle. Though ill-tempered, she is also able to instantly don a façade of gentleness when anger would serve her poorly, taking pride in how she is able to deal with children. Yet the way she speaks to Penny shows no true kindness, only seeking to manipulate her into doing what she wants, even shaming her for wanting to leave Devil's Bayou or get adopted.
Three months later (when the film introduces her), Medusa finds that although Snoops has managed to force Penny down into the cave, he cannot persuade her to search as she was too worried about drowning and her teddy bear getting wet. Moreover, he has caught the little girl sending out messages in bottles. Medusa, frustrated with Mr. Snoops' inability to manage a "little girl" (not to mention the possibility of the police using the bottles to trace their location), takes the next flight back to Devil's Bayou to take charge herself.
While Palutena is shown to be warm and kind, Medusa serves as a stark contrast to the Goddess of Light, being much more cold and sinister. She delights in the suffering of her enemies and shows little regard for the lives of others.
I bought some squid ink spaghetti for Halloween with one intention only. Medusa's head. Squid ink black pasta turns slightly grey once cooked although there were the odd strands of black. I used a hard skull mask from last year's Halloween flayed skin face which was actually supposed to be a pirate. I thought that I would blend up some smoked ham with some cream cheese so that we could pick at bits of her face. Does that sound absolutely charming darlings? The Braun cordless stick blender did struggle with this mix. I don't think there was enough "liquid" in it so I had to wait two hours in between blending while it charged which was a little frustrating. I think this would best be done in a food processor. I also bought some bocconcini and olives to make as her eyeballs and I also cut up the bocconcini as teeth. I made a little bowl of extra eyeballs and voila, may I present to you the beauty queen of the evening, Medusa!

She known for her vengeful nature, never backing down easily and holding grudges for a lifetime against anyone who opposes her. Her entire motivation comes from her intense hatred for Pit and Palutena. She firmly believes that the Goddess of Light is responsible for her transformation into a monster and her banishment from Skyworld. Consequently, she takes every chance she gets to mock Palutena, even going as far as to claim that Dark Pit's power of flight is superior to Palutena's. The depth of her animosity towards Palutena is so strong that it allowed Hades to bring her back to life, although in a weakened state. Unlike the other gods, Medusa is more serious and rarely jokes or breaks the fourth wall. However, she does possess a twisted sense of humor and finds amusement in Dark Pit's attempts to destroy Pit. Furthermore, she doesn't hold her minions in high regard, showing little or no remorse when Twinbellows, Thanatos, and Pandora are defeated.
