Kinect Development : motion controlled 3D Programming Environment

Hi Everyone,

This discussion can be joined by anyone who has some ideas about the
project.


As one of the projects we are going to tackle this semester we will
try to create a 3D Programming Environment resembling some of the
aspects of Alice, but with a focus on motion/gesture control and nice
graphics.

We will discuss further steps during the next meeting and I will
update this discussion with the progress we made.

In the mean time feel free to post suggestions !

Sounds like a great idea. Obviously it's not going to have the
complexity of Alice - but a showcase of what could be done with some
limited features would be good. Unless of course we could reskin the
UI of Alice... does anyone know if it's open source..? That way all
we'd have to do is work on a graphical overlay and the interface
mechanics itself. Which would be awesome. :)
