Erm... the server has backups? Could you restore to around 15:00 on
the 30th of September please. In the creative world.

Someone detonated some TNT -_-

Well though luck... I got to late to the backups the latest was already too fresh and thus you will have to live with it. I will now put other measures into place to avoid something like this. first of all, i will implement a better backup solution, possibly dayly, weekly and monthly backups of each map. So worst case you will only loose a day. Additionally I am thinking about a proper registration page for minecraft on our homepage where only paid club members will be able to register by checking with our database of paid members. In the meantime I know who did it and the person will be temporarily baned until I feel the situation is resolved.

Hope that helps,

Hi, I just joined the group after hearing that you had a minecraft
server. Really would like to join in and have a good time. Was
chatting to Aimon(I think that is how you spell his name, i've not
seen it written down [sorry]) and he said you needed to be
authenticated. So here i am. If i can come along, please let me know.

Not entirely sure this is the correct place to put this but I had a
chat with Marwin after todays CSC933 lecture and he said that if
someone comes to talk to him in his office (originally Will was
supposed to do this but didn't show up) he would help us open ports
for "gaming" - obviously we only really need 25535 for Minecraft to
work on campus net but this would at least allow people like Kris
(and
others in on-campus accommodation to play on servers other than the
SUCC server. :)
Basically, Marwin will actually help us open ports if someone goes to
him and says they want to. :D

Yeah I totally forgot about my appointment. :S Anyway, I would have
suggested more ports simply because we shouldn't just be catering for
ourselves (i.e. a single game) but should be looking for a more
permanent solution for a wider range of games. Until I came up with
something, I didn't want to make another appointment with Dr. Fayed.

Will.

P.S. Thanks for the Redstone Gem! I have made some code that allows
the use of separate images for items. Saves a lot of fiddling around.
This should also work for texturing blocks, etc. I've managed to get
my item to show it's name on hover - which was harder than I thought
it'd be. :/ Everything's going well, just need to code what happens
when the item is dropped.
