zoning 1001 ?

Hi - We just made an offer to purchase a single family house @ Oakland, ca 94605. Its zoning is 1001. Neither City of Oakland, our Realtors, nor any web sites were able to tell us what that zone means ! we are new to Oakland ( just moved up from LA ). Anyone knows ?
