I have an SSD as my C: drive, but am storing almost all my data on my old hard drive, (F:) As best I can determine, Rainlendar is installed in Program Files, on C: and storing its data files on C:. This is fine, but I have a backup program which maintains a backup of all my data files on an external drive automatically, and I want to set it to backup my Rainlendar2 data also. I need to know exactly where these are. (In the Rainlendar directory in Program Files? In the C:Users/user/.rainlendar2 directory? Both?)
Thank you so much. Am I correct that what is happening is that Rainlendar is creating a zipped iCalendar file on the fly, on a daily basis, (in the backups/[dated]Rainlendar2Backups/Default folder)? (And do these files eventually roll over, with automatic deletion of old files and replacement with new ones? (Or do they keep accumulating every day, forever?)
You are fabulous! Thank you so much. I now have my backup program (GoodSync - a superb program, but a bitch to configure), all set up and running on a timer. (I have just set it to backup the whole .rainlendar2 folder in Users.) Should be good to go from here on.
edit: I need rainlendar pro to do it, right?! are the events directly synchronized with rainlendar, so when adding an event to google calendar, rainlendar updates the calendar on my computer and the other way round!?
I purchased Rainlender Pro 2 with the view that I would be able to enter events and tasks in Rainlender and that they would be synced to my Google calendar to read on my laptop or Android phone, or vice-versa. Also, I hoped that all of my events and tasks previously entered into Rainlender Lite would be synced to my Google calendar. So far, it seems that I can go from my Google calendar to Rainlender but not from Rainlender to my Google calendar. Is this correct, or is there a way to sync in either direction?
