[[nt BETA version of Wiki On a Stick; it is not suggested ]
i will be moving over to ubuntu,
but theres a lot to learn...
oh and i cant find a help link,
i looked for a manual,
but only found a list of the latest improvements,
what i need is an iintroduction docuemnt,
and an easy way to find it...,
i now have broadband,
so may join in with this project
thanks - it seems great,
better than the alphabetically sorted lists ive been using since
dos3.2 days!
That's something that will be added to the default WoaS; it is currently
missing as the few pages in the default WoaS already explain a lot

are there any example stickwikis i can look at?
nobody has replied to my last 2 emails
asking or help on links and images,
is this egroup just for hackers
and javascript programmers?
i thought the idea of stickwiki is to be simple,
whereas at the moment the main page seems to have
release notes of updates
but not clues of how to use it,
its assumed the readers have used earlier versions
and are wiki experts...

The default WoaS covers all features. WoaS can be used in very different
situations, so I don't think we should have a WoaS example for each
case...however, to answer your question, there aren't as far as I know.

You should be less arrogant when asking for help on a free open source
project; furthermore, people comes from all over the world - and if they
don't know the answer or don't have time to answer, they will not, and
that's correct in my opinion.

I accept your critics about documentation, however I am not sure you
have the necessary will to write a manual for it since you don't seem
interested in playing with it in order to understand how it works
yourself...
Ask specific questions and you will surely be answered

i am approaching it in innocence,
one reason i havnt looked at the javascript
is that i want to approach the documentation as a user
without being prejudiced by knowing how it works...
another is that its obviously very difficult!
sorry if i sounded arrogant,
i see a great tool without much user help.
and i realise that some of you have English as a second language,
me, I only speak English,
so perhaps i can help with rewording,
but im not good at saying 9 good things then the one bad thing,
i take the 9 good things for granted and only mention the one bad thing.
I'm a crap politician.
keep it simple,
i know from my life its easy to write complicated interfaces with lots of
features,
diffficult to simplif and explain...
in line with the ONE HTML FILE philosophy
I am combining my help file and tutorial file
into one, presently called
stickwikihelp.htm
which i will share with you
when it begins to take shape...
thanks
george
any progress with your documentation?
A wiki is in-place, are you going to use it perhaps?
