Jyothi & Shruti,

Babji, Manoj and I met today afternoon and finalized the seating arrangements.

We will be reserving the Ist two rows and the first two columns on either side of the aisle ( T - shaped) for the clergy and the guests.

The first row will be reserved for the clergy.

On the 2nd row, plz seat the guests to be honored, viz

Jon Callahan,  Mike Morrison,  Ray Rock,  Dinesh Shah.

On the 2 vertical columns plz seat members from the local churches and other guests.

We will be removing two rows at the back of the church, to enable people to stand.

Hope this helps. We can discuss further during tomorrow's status meeting.

  As discussed today in church, we'll have two separate practice sessions for Good Friday and Easter Sunday.

On Thursday, I've tentatively scheduled practice (for Good Friday) after the evening service in church. This will begin mostly by 8:15 PM only.

Another option is for us to skip the evening prayer and instead meet at someone's house to practice. We may then start early around 7PM and be done by 9:00 PM.

Please suggest your opinion about this. We can meet at my home, unless anyone else would like to host.

We need a separate practice session (preferably on Saturday afternoon as usual) to prepare for Easter Sunday. Venue is TBD based on confirmed attendees.

  We'll have choir practice on Saturday (05/10) from 2:15 PM to 4:30 PM in our church.
Note that there are other work scheduled inside church from 4:30 PM. So please arrive on time..

Below is the plan for this week's session
 * Learn the hymns for the upcoming Holy Baptism of Brian Boby (May 17th Saturday)

 * How about a special song for Mother's day ? Please post your suggestions

As we noticed last Sunday, the new sound systems/mics are high quality and very sensitive to our vocal response.
It can amplify our strengths as well as weakness in time-sync, vocal condition and overall function as a harmonized and balanced choir.
Hence we must be more sensitive (than in past) about attending practice sessions and rehearsing on the sound system, prior to the liturgy & services. With our Lord's blessing, we have a wonderful team and I'm confident we can do this together as we did in the past.

  Please welcome Susan Vettichira, Mathew Varghese and Vineeth Varghese to our wonderful Choir program.
They've expressed immense interest in devoting their time and talent for this sacred service.

After a long break of 4+ months, we're reviving the regular practice & sync-up sessions. Some positive highlights of this season.

• Tenny Achen has keen interest in this organization. Achen will be in forefront guiding the choir and its functions. Achens experience and influence will be key in establishing a solid foundation to this endeavor.
• We already have 3 new members and expect few more talented adult and youth members to join us. Blend of fresh perspectives and years of traditional experience within the group will yield tremendous opportunities for everyone to learn and evolve.
