Jack agrees to help Ashmita and her team, which includes her brother Ravi (Aarif Rahman) and his friend Xiaoguang (Lay Zhang), to find the treasure. They travel to a mountain temple in India, where the Eye of Shiva is revealed to be a sensor that opens the map room to the treasure. However, Randall arrives again with his mercenaries and attacks them. Jack and his team use their wits and skills to fight off Randall and his men. In the process, Jack discovers that Ashmita is actually the reincarnation of the princess of Magadha, who had escaped from Randall's ancestor with the treasure when he invaded India 1000 years ago.

Jack and Ashmita find the treasure, which consists of gold and statues of ancient gods. They decide to donate it to the Indian government and people, as they believe it belongs to them. Randall tries to steal the treasure, but is stopped by Jack and his friends. He falls into a river and is presumed dead. Jack and Ashmita admit their feelings for each other and kiss. The film ends with a Bollywood-style dance number featuring all the main characters.

Kung Fu Yoga was released in China on January 28, 2017, coinciding with the Chinese New Year. It was a huge success at the box office, grossing over $257 million worldwide, making it Jackie Chan's highest-grossing film in China.
