Dear Friends,

Upcoming activities at St. Georges:

1. 100th Birthday celebration for Ida Morton Ross - We will have a reception in Quin Hall on Saturday, September 25 from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. If you will be able to attend, please RSVP to Ellen at 945-2583 or ema...@stgtc.org.

2. School of Prayer resumes this week - Tuesday morning at 10:30 a.m. We are praying with scripture. If you have not been able to attend previously, you will still be able to learn and be fed by this kind of prayer.

3. Eyeglasses you can no longer use - We are collecting used eyeglasses and will give them to the local Lions Club. They distribute them to people who otherwise would not be able to afford them. Drop them off at the church office.

4. Plastic bags - the ones you get at the grocery store, drug store, etc. The Food Pantry at St. Vincent's House in Galveston needs bags as containers of food items for their clients. I bet you have plenty. I know I do. Bring them to the church office and they will be taken to St. Vincent's House.
