Local photographer J.D. Rouse started Operation: Community Capture (OCC) five years ago. The purpose of OCC is to provide photos for individuals in need, thus providing them with memories that will last a lifetime. SMA’s Project WARM (Women Assisting Recovering Mothers) is one program that was graciously chosen to participate in OCC. Every December for the past three years, Ms. Rouse and other volunteers have taken photos of the mothers and children from Project WARM to provide them with holiday family portraits. The portraits provide the mothers with a reminder that they are making significant strides in overcoming addiction. SMA and the SMA Foundation sincerely thank Ms. Rouse and OCC for their dedication to Project WARM and the efforts they put forth to enhancing lives in our community. Ms. Rouse is originally from Baltimore, Maryland and is a graduate of the Photography Program at Daytona State College. She has had work displayed at the Southeast Museum of Photography and the Daytona Beach Film Festival. She now works as a freelance photographer. J.D. Rouse and Operation: Community Capture
