MBMFL 2024 Season

Gentlemen,

July is winding to an end, players are reporting to camp, and our favorite time of the year is almost upon us again. I wanted to reach out and provide a few league updates along with setting the draft date in stone.

UPDATE

First off, we have lost a franchise (Kipper is still alive & well). Tony Horton, managed by Matt Zelkovitz, has decided that after 8 seasons of bumbling mediocrity that he no longer wishes to participate and is going to focus on losing money to his bookie and rearing his many children. In all seriousness, Zelk receives an honorable discharge from the league and was a model franchise. The league thanks you for your service.

However, just like Lateff used to yell while on all fours during his experimental college years "NEXT MAN UP!" Your dictatorial commish has been moving and shaking and reaching out to the many prospects hoping to join this storied organization. I would like to introduce the newest owner to the MBMFL, Jimmy Tirone.

Many of you will have gone to PSU with Jimmy and remember him sweating through pre-algebra quizzes or there are many of you that possibly remember him as being instrumental in helping me to survive my head wound on my bachelor party. Jimmy is 5'1 and full off piss and vinegar. His favorite teams are the Patriots, Duke, the Yankees, Manchester City, Iowa Women's College Basketball, and the New Zealand All Blacks. Please join me in welcoming our newest annual donation.

DRAFT

As in year's past and for forever going forward our draft will be the Tuesday after Labor Day. The date is Tuesday, September 3rd at 7:30PM.

The keeper deadline will be Sunday, September 1st at 11:59PM. Since at least 4 of you retards ask me every year, the keeper rules are:

1 player per organization. The player cannot have cleared waivers at any point during the 2023 regular season.

X + $10 for QBs

X +$15 for RBs and WRs

X +$5 for TEs

Where X is their 2023 auction cost. 

RULES & FEES

Unless we would like to vote otherwise, the cost for the league will be $270 per franchise.

If you would like to submit a rule change proposal now is the time to do it.
