At the announcement of Congressman Eric Massa, one of the Young Republicans was there to hear what the Congressman had to say. We've posted one video so far on a quote that he had to say about the stimulus. We feel that he's proved in the past that he's way off the mark on many of his comments.

This next one really is more controversial, because of the nature of unions. Especially as Card Check (like many of the bills this year) is shoved through. It's not that unions themselves are always bad. They certain started as a good thing. However, we take issue with the Congressman on two major points.

First, Massa's tainted by the unions because they give him so much money. There are thousands of dollars that have poured into his campaign from union PACs. And this is where the Congressman is a hypocrite. He criticized his opponent last time Rep. John "Randy" Kuhl, Jr. for taking corporate PACs, and he was taking PAC money too, but from Unions. Now Rep. Massa is taking both.

Second, the biggest issue is that Rep. Massa claims that if you disagree with him that you are not American. This obviously is ridiculous. We aren't going to agree on things and that isn't a bad thing. One of the most important parts of our Democracy is a healthy debate on the issues. Eric Massa wants us to just take his word for it.

The actual posting a video that all of you are going to want to watch about our favorite Congressman's amazing ability to say the wrong thing at the wrong time.
