HORNELL AREA “TEA PARTY PROTEST”
The 2nd “TEA’D OFF” RALLY in Hornell, NY will be held on Thursday, April 15, 2009 at NOON in the area between Burger King and Route 36. Plan to stay for at least one hour. Along with the TEA PARTY Rally, voter registration papers will be available for those who have never registered to vote. There will also be a petition to sign regarding local and state Democrats who wish to deny us a special election and delay the 29th district’s election until November.
This rally is a non-partisan, volunteer effort to express our opinions that the United States government is a REPUBLIC, led by the rule of law. The Constitution is not being upheld. Our government is out of control. Taxpayers cannot afford the “wish-lists” of progressive representatives on the local, state, or national level. We do not want our children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren to be saddled with taxes that will cripple this country.
The Rally will begin gathering behind the Ryan Agency at 11:30 AM. We encourage people to wear Red/White/Blue, bring your signs, flags, and, of course, tea bags.
Police Chief Ted Murray is aware of this event. We encourage participants to be respectful, refrain from foul language, encourage peaceful discussion and keep the sidewalks open for pedestrians.
