Again, maybe that goes TWO WAYS. But like, "end" of the Cold War? To
one prog-lib chap I was saying, "You might get yourself a copy of
CHARLIE WILSON'S WAR to see how false that assumption is, but of
course you will first have to face the fact that this 'cold war is
over' stuff is a complete myth. Have you looked into the eyes of
Vladimir Putin lately?"
It is so convenient to repeatedly forget how Israel won the Six Day
War--while under a US arms embargo. That's right, and with an air
force comprised almost entirely of French built jets, and an armored
division of a few rebuilt WWII surplus Shermans, and the rest a bunch
of clunky Czechoslovakian tanks. All this while the Arabs were being
outfitted with state of the art Soviet weaponry. Nixon pulled the same
wimp-out as LBJ in the Yom Kippur War when it was not until well into
the conflagration that Moshe Dayan got Tricky Dick on the phone and
read him the riot act, about the armaments that Israel had long before
contracted for purchase, reminding his ass of what Israel has under
the sands at Dimona. I mean, you do know what's under there don't you--
thanks to Einstein and E=MC^2? You should have seen how fast that
sucker jumped to send that long delayed arms convoy on its way.
So, my Leftist interlocutor started in with his claims about what
people in the US are thnking, and to that all I could ask was, like,
what "thinking"? That's no "thinking". That so-called thinking is NOT
in the "US" it is in the screwy ruminations of skinhead fascists and
the rad lib-progs who temporarily, for the duration of the next three
years are having their diapers changed in Congress and the White
House.
He asks why we need to have all this US money going to Israel? To
this, I say we don't, as neither should Israel have any need for it.
Absolutely not. It's the one dirty habit Israel has to kick, and cold
turkey at that, if necessary, so that she may once again stand on her
own to make very clearly known that US "support" for Israel has always
been very short of the mark, any time the chips were down, when the US
was being called upon to put some cajones where the money and the big
mouthful of "support" is.
Our Lib-Prog asks, why not send all that aid to the Palestinians to
'pacify' them? To this I say, like -- you want to "pacify" the
Palestinians? They are out there today throwing stones in the street
to demonstrate their lovely passions over the fact that an east
Jerusalem synagogue seized by Jordan in the 1948 war is today being
rededicated. How do you 'pacify' such passions as that short of how we
did it at Nuremberg--we should sing "Rock-a-Bye Baby" to them while
they swing?
I wish to God that not one more dollar of public sector US money
should ever be sent to Israel. It's altogether so weakening and
ruinous as the UN money that maintains those Palestinian refugee camps
as the toxic sewers of welfare degenerated humanity they are. Get 'em
all off welfare, Palestinian and Israeli alike. That is the road to
peace and prosperity and there is no other!
