Hi all,
we have published the article "Development and validation of a mid-water baited stereo-video technique for investigating pelagic fish assemblages" in the Journal of Experimental Marine Biology and Ecology. In this study we validate the use of pelagic stereo-BRUVs to study pelagic fish and, we assess the potential of this method to explore the vertical distribution of fish assemblages. Additionally, we present the effects of soak time and replication on the precision and cost of sampling to allow for the optimisation and standardisation of future studies using pelagic stereo-BRUVs.

Please, find a copy of the article attached, we hope you will find it of your interest.

Cheers,

Julia and co-authors

Hi all,

We have recently published in Methods in Ecology and Evolution the article:"Calibration of pelagic stereo-BRUVs and scientific longline surveys for sampling sharks" (pdf attached).
I hope you will find it interesting.

Cheers,
