The State University of New York (SUNY) System maintains a comprehensive program to facilitate the transfer of qualified students from one SUNY institution to another. The University at Buffalo has implemented the components of SUNY Seamless Transfer and supports processes which help these qualified students transfer seamlessly from one SUNY campus to another as simply and efficiently as possible. The intention is that students who adhere to the tenets of the program will not only be able to transfer seamlessly, but earn their degrees in a timely fashion. To achieve that end, UB has delineated what is required for all four year undergraduate programs as needed to benefit from SUNY Seamless Transfer.
UB students who choose to transfer to another SUNY campus should be eligible for junior status if they have followed the Transfer Paths and general education requirements cited above as well as fulfilling any other requirements of the campus they seek.
If you are interested in transferring to the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, we encourage you to use the following information regarding the engineering programs and successfully transferring your courses.
SUNY Seamless Transfer is a SUNY-wide program intended to make transferring to UB and other SUNY Schools simple and efficient for SUNY students. SUNY has defined courses that students can take before transferring which will apply to the major at UB and ensure timely graduation.

A microgrid may operate under two typical modes; the seamless transfer control of the microgrid is very important. The mode conversion controller is installed in microgrid and the control logic of master power is optimized for microgrid mode conversion. In the proposed scheme, master power is very important. The master-power is under the PQ control when microgrid is under grid-connected. And it is under V/F control when the microgrid is under islanding. The microgrid mode controller is used to solve the planned conversion. Three types of conversion are simulated in this paper. The simulation results show the correctness and validity of the mode control scheme. Finally, the implementation and application of the operation and control device are described.
This paper outlines the study protocol for a randomized controlled trial evaluating an electronic transfer-of-care communication tool, with sufficient statistical power to assess the impact of the tool on the significant outcomes of post-discharge death or readmission. The study findings will inform health systems around the world on the potential benefits of such tools, and the value for money associated with their widespread implementation.
The Ward of the 21st century (W21C) initiative at the University of Calgary, in Alberta, Canada is an interdisciplinary research and innovation program focused on health system safety and quality (see ). The W21C team, working collaboratively with Alberta Health Services, the provincial health authority, undertook iterative consultation with multiple clinical stakeholders as well as patients and family, and developed an electronic communication TOC tool. The tool was built off of the already functioning electronic platform called Sunrise Clinical Manager (SCM) that physicians use to manage inpatient orders and to access patient medical records, diagnostic imaging and laboratory results. An initial pilot test of the tool involving 100 actual patient transfers of care summaries from an adult internal medicine ward to the community was performed on the Medical Teaching Unit (MTU) affiliated with the W21C. This pilot study involved detailed assessments of usability issues, provider and patient satisfaction, completeness and timeliness of the discharge summaries. The information generated from this pilot led to the refinement of the tool to the extent that it satisfied the needs of acute care physicians, primary care physicians, and patients. The refined tool will be made available for use by physicians and medical students on the MTU and used for this study.
Seamless Transfer projects focus on policy and practice changes and interventions that affect the credit transfer system as a whole. Through these projects, ONCAT assists the sector to achieve consistent and transparent transfer processes that remain student-centred. This stream supports experimentation and innovations in credit transfer processes and identifies realistic models that can be scaled province-wide (for example, institutions may want to evaluate the feasibility of moving towards a pre-enrolment credit assessment for all potential transfer applicants).
Student-Led Projects and Insights. ONCAT will support transfer-student led projects that support peer-to-peer learning, community building, research, and awareness raising of transfer student experiences
Called a comprehensive articulation agreement, the partnership between Davidson-Davie and Lees-McRae includes guaranteed admission for those who earn their associate degrees at Davidson-Davie. Students who transfer also will receive merit scholarships that discount tuition by up to 60 percent. Other discounts are available for those who choose online programs.
Among the many program options available after transferring to Lees-McRae are nursing, business administration, sports management, psychology, nutrition science, EMS and management, biology, pre-veterinary science, and elementary and special education.
All newly matriculated students (freshmen and transfers) must submit to the Office of Undergraduate Admission all final, official college transcripts, AP exam scores, IB exam scores, CLEP exam scores, and other pertinent collegiate coursework no later than the first day of classes of the first semester at SUNY New Paltz. Delay in submitting pre-matriculation transfer credits can have a negative impact on course planning and financial aid.
This policy applies when a student who has matriculated at New Paltz earns credit at another college with the intention of transferring the credit to New Paltz. Matriculated students should consult their advisor before taking a course elsewhere to avoid problems with credit acceptance and financial aid.
Regardless of pathway, the student should consult with the appropriate office to determine the impact of taking courses at other institutions on financial aid, repeat course limits and maximum transfer-credit allowances (70 credits from an accredited two-year college and 90 credits from an accredited four-year college or university).
In order to deliver such efficiencies, Star Alliance has established dedicated resources, such as the Transfer Decision Tool and Star Alliance Connection Centres, in addition to the Move Under One Roof concept, all of which lend themselves to improving the passenger transfer process and, in turn, optimising baggage delivery.
In power electronics context, is there any technical definition of "seamless power transfer"?. Does it mean a smooth power transfer without a transient variations regardless the disturbances in the input, or it has some other meanings?
Providence has unveiled an HL7 FHIR (Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources) tool that enables seamless data exchange with payers. The Washington-based health system, which spans more than 50 hospitals in seven states, tested the technology earlier this year with Premera Blue Cross, one of the largest health plans in the Pacific Northwest. Officials say it was vetted by internal teams as well as HEDIS (Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set) auditors.
Abstract:In this paper, we propose a voltage control technique for the seamless transfer algorithm of a microgrid inverter. When the microgrid inverter is switched from grid-connected mode to standalone operation mode, an output voltage transient may occur, and adversely affect the load. To solve this, seamless transfer algorithms that complete mode switching within 4 ms have been studied. However, previous control techniques have very complex structures. In this study, we find the cause of the voltage transient occurring in the mode conversion, through state average modeling of the inverter. Subsequently, we propose a feed-forward compensator for seamless transfer. The cause of the voltage transient is removed by the compensation, and smooth mode switching is achieved. The proposed controller is verified by Powersim (PSIM) simulations. Keywords: microgrid; inverter; seamless transfer
