There are two problems related to Arabic numerals display for the Arabic translation.
In this post, I cover the first which is of minor impact and is to do with the shape of the numerals. In a following post, I will cover the second issue which is a serious one and is to do with the order of displaying the chapter:verse in the scripture text panel.
Numeral shapes:
In the Arab world, strangely, we don't use the Arabic numbers' shapes (0 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9) but instead, we use Indian shapes (٠١٢٣٤٥٦٧٨٩). All printed Arabic Bibles (and newspapers, magazines, etc.) use the Indian shapes.
In STEP, the scripture text panel correctly shows Indian shapes, while the list of books uses the Arabic numbers' shapes. So, the following needs correction:
