Mike,
Since I am using mostly Hydroton to root the cuttings I really like the Turface as it is absorbent. The Hydroton doesn't absorb but is great for letting in lots of oxygen. I am trying to strike a balance so the cuttings have enough moisture surrounding them AND enough oxygen. Then I water with the microrizza (Nitrozime) to provide nutrients--all the time the air lets things dry while the Turface keeps the atmosphere around each cutting--then roots high enough to prevent drying.
The analysis of the Nitrozime:
0-4-4 Available Phosphate--4% Soluble Potash---------4% Derived from: Ascophyllum Nodosum Seaweed
Good growing,
Jim

Hi Jim,
Thanks for the info. I may have to see if I can find some turface and
try it.
Do you give your plants some form of nitrogen since the Nitrozime does
not have any or do you just use the Nitrozime?
Thanks,
Mike
