Hi everyone,
The European Union Prize for Citizen Science is open for submissions until March 10th:
I was part of the jury panel for this last year and Ireland was not as well represented as some other countries, even though I'm aware of great work going on here that would be really relevant for these awards. The overall title is a little bit misleading - the main award covers "traditional" citizen science, but the categories "Diversity and Collaboration" and "Digital Communities" also cover community science and co-creation projects, socially-engaged arts projects with a scientific aspect, and even citizen humanities/social sciences. If you are doing work with citizens, and can demonstrate some aspect of participants actively participating in the creation of new knowledge (as opposed to purely education / public engagement initiatives), your project is likely to qualify.
Please do consider making an application, and I'd be happy to provide some feedback if anyone would like to share a draft with me before submitting.
Warm regards,
Mairéad
