Dear all,
My name is Maria Zacarias and I am a science communicator from Portugal currently looking to relocate to Ireland to work in science communication.
I am reaching out to seek advice on getting started in the field there. My goal is to work in a communications role within a research institution, and I am also eager to learn about other science communication opportunities in Ireland.
I have experience in science writing and journalism, video production, digital content creation, STEM outreach, and collaboration with scientists. I am passionate about translating complex scientific concepts into engaging content for non-expert audiences, as well as working with researchers to disseminate their work through writing, video, and outreach activities. I hold a BSc in Biology and an MSc in Science Communication.
I would love to connect with professionals in the field, so if you are open to exchanging ideas or sharing advice, I would greatly appreciate it. You can find more about my work here: [

Looking forward to hearing from you.
Best regards,
Maria Zacarias
