Hi all,

We are hiring an Outreach and Partnership Engagement Manager to support the delivery of the BEACONS (Bebras for Engagement and Advancement of Computational reasoNing Skills) project. BEACONS is a Research Ireland Discover-funded project led by the Irish Computer Society (ICS) with support from University of Limerick (UL). This role will be based at UL.

About the role:

This is a broad role that will include engaging with multiple stakeholders (e.g. teachers, ICS, HEIs, students) to support and enhance computational thinking education, and increase participation in the Bebras competition in Ireland, with a particular focus on regions/schools that have not typically engaged in past iterations of the competition. The post holder will work closely with the project team in ICS and UL as well as other stakeholders, to support the successful delivery of the project.

The post holder will play a key role in the management of the education, training, and communications elements of the project and will lead the planned engagement activities with teachers and other stakeholders. They will also lead the co-creation of training and educational resources as part of these engagement activities.
