Dear colleagues,
[Apologies for cross posting if you have already received this invitation].
I am reaching out as I am conducting a research study exploring the current state of inclusive science communication in Ireland, from the perspective of those working in the field. This research is being undertaken as part of a Professional Doctorate in Education in Trinity College Dublin.
I would like to invite all those who work in science communication and aligned fields (including informal science learning, citizen/participatory/community science, PPI, public engagement, engaged research) in Ireland to complete the linked survey (see below).
This survey will take approximately 10 minutes to complete and will explore what it means to do 'science communication' and 'inclusive science communication' in Ireland - investigating roles, activities, understandings and perceptions.
This survey is part of a wider study which aims to support the mapping of the science communication ecosystem in Ireland from an inclusion perspective, centring the voices of those active in the field. The study will offer an evidence base to inform recommendations and identify supports needed to truly embed equity and belonging within our science communication efforts.
The survey and all accompanying information can be found at the survey link: https://tcdecon.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_6wYWn9UEaU57E5E
Ethical approval has been received from Trinity College Dublin for this study.
I would appreciate it if you could please share this survey with your colleagues or relevant networks.
If you have any questions at all, please do not hesitate to reach out at tayl...@tcd.ie.
Thank you very much for your time, and your willingness to contribute to this study.
All the best,
Aoife Taylor
