North Shore Century Sunday September 1

Hi, 

Please join me for the second annual North Shore Century on Sunday, Sept. 1 beginning at 7 AM at Medford High School. 

Last year six of us rode this route which includes many beautiful views of the ocean along the north shore and around Cape Ann. While the ride had its challenges, the views and camaraderie were well worth it. 

The starting point of the ride has been changed to eliminate many of the challenges, namely minimizing city riding. 

While I am still tweaking it, the route can be viewed at http://ridewithgps.com/routes/1670239.You will notice that the route is very flat for a century with the vast majority of climbs at less than 5% grade. Last year, we averaged about 15 mph and I anticipate that being closer to 16 with the new routing. 

Please let me know if you will be joining me and I will send the finished route and details. We can plan car pools from the Metrowest area.
