Hi All,
To ensure this gets to everybody who responded or who still may be considering the ride, here are details.
First, this ride is really organized by two friends, Joel and Everett. I mention this as they are both much taller than me and will be more visible - look for height!

We will meet at the intersection of Ash and Park Streets, Hopkinton. Meet at 7:00 am for wheels up for sure at 7:15. Ashland says the roads will close at 7:30 so we must be rolling at 7:15. Framingham says they are closing roads at 8:30 so if we have to detour around Ashland we will be all set from Framingham on.

Some of us will be staying in Brookline to watch the race at one of the leader's apartments. While I can't guarantee it, there may be space for all of us there. (Thank you in advance, Joel).

I plotted out a return from Brookline at http://ridewithgps.com/routes/2352714 (GPS file and cue sheet available). The route avoids the marathon and suggests a crossing at Rt. 16 in Newton (if you stay to watch the race, this intersection should be available by the time we ride there). If they will not let us across there, continue west on Rt. 30 (Comm. Ave.) and head south further out. It's a pretty much direct route while avoiding major roads close to the city. Yes, I know a lot of it is on Washington St. in Newton and it's not very scenic, but it is fast and direct.

There are riders leaving Cambridge and Brookline to start this ride. If you want info on those rides let me know and I will put you in touch with the leaders.

Any questions?

Best,
Alan
