Each season I like to take on a new challenge built on the one from the year before (last year was back to back centuries).
This year, I have chosen to do a 200 mile ride in one day. There are few days on which there is enough light so it has to be done during the week of the summer solstice. This year, that day falls on a Saturday, June 21 so that’s the day for this ride (rain date is the 22nd).
The route is still being planned, so your input is welcome. My idea is a route that leaves from Metrowest and heads southeast to the flatter part of the state. There is a century starting in Middleborough that is relatively flat, so that will probably become the middle 100 - 50 miles to the start of that, then 50 back.
Put it on your calendars; let me know if you will be joining me and the three others who have already signed up.
Good riding till then!
The usual disclaimer: This ride may not match the standards for the group through which you received this post (this is true mainly for the Free-As-In-Beer group). If you choose to join, bring people along that ride at your pace.

PS If you want to be taken off this list; want to add a fellow rider; receive it more than once (because I have your email and you get it from a list as well) - let me know and I will take you off. If you receive it because you are a member of a group that I send it to, I cannot take your name off - you may remove yourself from that group list but that means you will not get any email from the group.
