Howdy,
NASA is recruiting undergraduates, graduate students, and faculty members from universities across the nation to participate in the NASA Spacesuit User Interface Technologies for Students (NASA SUITS) challenge. NASA SUITS provides a hands-on opportunity for students to engage in NASA’s Artemis mission and design software to assist astronauts in surface exploration.
A sustained human presence on the lunar surface will require a reimagining of how spacewalks are conducted. This reimagining includes digital information in the form of displays and voice assistants. NASA will also need to utilize artificial intelligence and edge computing to reach our full exploration potential. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to design user interfaces that can be used when NASA sends astronauts back to the Moon! Create a team and participate in this authentic, unparalleled learning experience. Letter of intent due October 2, 2025. The deadline to apply for NASA SUITS is October 30, 2025.
