Location:

Fellows are expected to be fully engaged, either in-person or remote. In-person location is Bethesda, MD.

Length of Appointment:

Initially one year and may be renewed annually for up to four years, upon recommendation of NIH and contingent on the availability of funds.

General Eligibility Criteria:

  • U.S. Citizen, Lawful Permanent Resident, or Foreign Nationals
  • 18 years of age or older at the time of application
  • Received a B.S., M.S. or Ph.D within the last 5 years in a relevant field listed on the opportunity posting, or currently enrolled in graduate school and will receive their degree prior to start date of the appointment

Deadline for Application:

An initial review of applications will occur on July 1, 2026. Thereafter, applications will be reviewed on a rolling-basis throughout the 2026 calendar year, and selections made as projects for participation become available.
