I am delighted to announce the Poster Contest at the 8th Annual Wisconsin Stem Cell Symposium, Cell-Based Therapy for Heart and Vascular Disease: Pathways to Clinic. The Symposium will be held on April 10, 2013 at the BioPharmaceutical Technology Center, located on the Promega Corporation campus in Madison/Fitchburg. I strongly encourage graduate students and postdoctoral fellows to take advantage of this wonderful opportunity and share your work with colleagues and an outstanding group of visiting scientists.
Here is how the contest works.
(1) To be considered for the contest, your abstract must be received by Friday, March 22, 2013.
(2) For all accepted posters, registration fees will be waived for first authors who are graduate students or post-doctoral researchers in academic institutions.
(3) The Poster Review Committee will select 10 posters for final judging at the Symposium.
(4) Three prizes will be awarded: 1st Place: $500; 2nd Place: $300; 3rd Place: $200.
(5) The winners will be recognized in the afternoon session of the Symposium.

- Symposium registration and fee payment are also required for participation. NOTE: For accepted posters, registration fees will be waived for first authors who are graduate students or post-doctoral researchers in academic institutions.
- After that deadline, if 30 abstracts have not yet been approved, the Poster Review Committee will review and accept posters until that total is reached. However, abstracts received after that date will not be contest eligible.
- The Poster Review Committee will select 10 posters for final judging at the Symposium.
- Three prizes will be awarded: 1st Place: $500; 2nd Place: $300; 3rd Place: $200.
